His studies and collaborations with luminaries such as Deepak Chopra, Jon Kabat-Zinn, and Paul Lowe have enriched his practice, allowing him to offer a truly integrative approach to wellness. The facility supports both in-house and outsourced lab testing, providing treatments that span from biofeedback to family constellation therapy.

What You Can Expect

Step 1: Initial Consultation

Your journey begins with an initial consultation to address your primary health concerns. A physician will review your medical history, assess your current health status, and discuss the questionnaires you’ve completed prior to your visit. Based on this assessment, a personalized diagnostic and treatment plan will be proposed, including a selection of lab tests through local services as well as more advanced functional medicine lab tests that get drawn at our  Centre and are couriered to diagnostic centers worldwide. Following your consultation, a Patient Care Assistant will guide you through the logistics of your treatment plan, including scheduling and financial planning. Please bring your planner to this session for scheduling purposes.

Step 2: Laboratory Testing and Diagnostics

Calgary Lab Service (CLS): Our team will direct you to CLS for certain tests.

In-House Testing: You’ll undergo tests such as Heart Rate Variability (HRV), Bio Impedance Analysis (BIA), and heart rate variability assessments with our Lab Assistant.

Outsourced Lab Testing: For specialized tests, we partner with labs across North America and Europe. While some tests are conducted in-house, others may require you to collect samples at home for blood, urine, stool, or saliva, which you'll then return to us for processing.

Please note, detailed lab analysis with results can take 4-8 weeks.

Step 3: The Treatment Session

At this third appointment, the majority of all tests will be back and Dr Hoffman and the patient will engage in a 2 to 3 hour educational meeting whereby all of the tests will be interpreted, a hierarchy of treatment decisions made and a specific therapeutic plan will be outlined. Many different health practices and treatments will be outlined

Step 4: The Follow Up Sessions

Approximately every 6 to 12 weeks, patients will either visit the clinic and report back on their progress, or this meeting may occur via zoom. Protocols will be reviewed, new lab tests correlated with old labs and a progress report updated. The average time taken for a patient to repair their complex illness is about 1 year. This however, may vary according to multiple different factors
